This design and construction is perfect! It's better than the original in size/capacity, design, and quality of materials. It not only filters more water due to the size increase and larger media capacity, the design of the water inlet allows less water to bypass as well. I recommend this highly if you have one of these JBJ Nano 28 aquariums!

Must have for nano cube
Bought a used nano cube that was sold without the basket. Considered buying the stock basket but went with this instead. More than happy with the product. Holds plenty of media and is easy to take out and clean/replace all media without making a mess. Plastic is very high quality and feels sturdy. Packaging was protective without being wasteful and it shipped and arrived quickly and on time.
100% recommend for nano cubers.
For the record. My current set up is course sponge in the top compartment, bonded floss sponge in 2, and purigen on the bottom. Water is crystsl clear. If need be, you can easily have a thinner block of course sponge and put both floss and course in the top, carbon on the middle, and purigen on the bottom. The large levels make it very easy to personalize your filter media.

Just got my new media basket 5 days ago. Put it in my Nano Cube 28 PC and overnight my tank was nice and clear. What an improvement over the JBJ stock media basket. I had installed the JBJ NanoZapp UV Sterilizer so one of the units pumps had to be taken off of the wavemaker. This increased the volume of water going through the overflow by 50%. That little stock media basket could not handle this flow and the water shot right over the top of the basket without much of it being filter. This left ugly particles floating everywhere and my phosphate levels started to go up since the water was not going through my media. Already my phosphate is back down to zero and I am a VERY happy camper.
I would like to remark on a review prior to mine. One person didn't like the price. Well you get what you pay for and this new media basket is worth every penny I paid and more. Why pay $50 for a coral that dies of pollution in your tank because of an undersized basket? Great investment!

Thank you for having a quality product along with a great recommendation for media as well. My tank 28 gallon JBJ was fighting some algae problems due to over feeding and no protein skimmer. After 30+% water changes I knew something else was going on with my red slim cyno growing day by day. I bought your media basket along with Purigen, Filter floss, and Chemi-Pure Elite. Wow what a difference now! Before adding the new equipment to the tank I took a turkey baster and blew off all the red slim on the rocks and sand, then I did a 30% water change and added the new equipment from your store. Feeding sparingly and watching my tank day by day seeing it clearing up a bit on water quality and NO MORE RED SLIME! Even my snails shells had a slight algae growing on them...not anymore! I've only done one water change since your equipment and changed the filter floss.
HIGHLY recommended for a 28 JBJ!

Great quality. Flows way better than stock
Only reason it wasn't 5 star, the basket stop to keep it in place does not work on my nano, it must be based a new design or old, depends I guess. There is no lip on my tank to slip it on, like seen in the video. I had to rig it to keep the basket in place.

Wow, nice basket!!
I installed this basket shortly after I received it and I've had to adjust the amount of water in the rear sump area because the flow is about 3X greater than the stock basket!! I have a phosphate pad and sponge in the top, ceramic rings in the middle and Chemi-Pure Blue in the bottom and it's doing a great job! All my levels are zero and fishies are happy. This is a great product and I would recommend it to any who ask.
