inTank Media Basket for Fluval Spec | Spec 2.6 | Spec V | Spec 5 | Evo 5 | Evo 19L | EBI

Through the years I’ve bought three of these from Steve for different tanks. With the plug, water director and skimmer this works great on the EVO V to significantly improve filtration and improve filtration. I love the flexibility the three shelves offer for filter media. I’m actually considering removing the (removable) middle shelf to use it as a refugium with some chaeto (still researching if this is feasible). Great, well-made product.

It does not fit properly and water just goes down in the front. Do not recommend for the fluval evo 5.

If you are still using the original "thing" that came with your tank, you must get this! You can tell InTank takes great pride in their products, from the quality of the tower, the packaging and the customer service. It is, and performs, exactly as advertised. I am a firm believer my animals deserve the best to stay healthy...this is it! Thank you so much for your help, Jay! And I took your advice, that sponge thing has been in the garbage as soon as I had the tower ready to drop in the tank!

I’m so happy with the InTank media basket I purchased for my Fluval Spec V. My tank has never been cleaner! And it’s much easier to maintain. The basket is solid/sturdy and fits just right. This InTank company is top notch from the point of sale all the way through.

I received my order and yesterday I installed the media basket along with the plug and the skimmer on my Spec 5. It hasn't been 24 hours and the film on top of my water surface is GONE. I was a bit skeptical about the surface skimmer but it appears to be doing its job. Prior to this order, I tried different media in the standard Fluval filter, treatments including spraying hydrogen peroxide on the surface and water changes two times a week. Nothing would knock out the film that would form on the surface. This is the second product I purchased from inTank. The first was a media basket for my Fluval 15. Which is also performing equally well. I applaud the high quality manufacturing, fit and performance. Keep up the great work!

Really love the quality of this basket, I found that aquaclear 30 foam, carbon and biomax fit perfectly with very minimal trimming on the foam. I also found that the original spec carbon pouches are the perfect size as well. If I had to be completely honest, I could definitely tell a difference this basket made but when you match it up with an upgraded pump like newa mn606, the entire set up turned into a different beast. Highly recommend!

This media basket fits perfectly, makes maintenance a breeze and offers lots of versatility for media type/configuration. Wonderful improvement for the tank and can't imagine not having it.

This is a must have for your Fluval Spec 5. With the water director and the chamber plug. My tank's crystal clear.

The product itself was very well made, high quality. Shipping was super fast and everything was packaged perfectly. Only downside is the plug did not fit my Fluval Spec V and the second plug that came with my water director also did not fit so I'll just need to figure something else out for that tiny hole below the intake.
