Improve the flow in your Fluval Spec and Fluval Evo 5 aquarium.  The plug blocks off the hole in chamber one, improving the track of water forcing it into the grates and keeping the rear chambers more clean.  The plug works with the stock filtration and the inTank Media Basket.

PRO TIP:  If needed add a drop of super glue gel to the plug before installing.  This will prevent livestock from removing plug during operation.  Super glue is safe and cures underwater.

    Fluval Ebi 2.6 Gallon

    Thanks for making a great product to fix Fluval’s flaw’d design. Works great on my Fluval Ebi 2.6 and stops my shrimp from being sucked into filter. No adjustments or glue needed!

    Fantastic

    My snails kept getting caught in the little intake slot. I did have to shave the little plug down a bit with a box cutter, but it was super easy (and I'd rather cut it to fit anyway). Since the water has been directed over my filter media, rather than around it, my water looks quite a bit clearer as well. I wish I had purchased this item sooner. Shipping was also prompt, and the item arrived well packaged.

    Better filtration

    This makes all the water go through my filtration system before reaching the pump. I could tell a difference almost as soon as I installed it. No more unfiltered water recirculating in my tank.

    CHAMBER PLUG FOR FLUVAL SPEC

    Has to be cut to fit the slot in the Spec 5g version sold in Canada but does the job after that. It's nice to have the part available. Wish Intank made a plug for the other slot at the top of the panel between the filter chamber and the pump chamber.

    Perfect

    This plug works prefect. It was extremely tight to the point it wouldn’t go in. I shaved a tiny bit off so it would fit in the slot a bit easier, and works like a charm. I HIGHLY suggest this piece. I originally ordered to direct all water through the whole filter, but the day after I ordered it I noticed my betta’s tail was missing a bit off the end, and as I watched he would rest on the bypass and his tail was getting sucked in. When we swam away it caused his tail to be drug against the cut out edges and it was what stripped his tail. Get this not only for filtering, but for safety.

    Works great!

    Just received my plug yesterday, and I installed it last night. The plug fit perfectly, and snapped right in tightly! Thanks for the Swedish Fish! My plug fit really snug, so I didn't feel the need to glue it in place.

    Chamber Plug for Fluval Spec V

    My tank was full of water so I have just pushed it into the hole for now and will glue it properly at a later date. It is hard to push it in and I had to fiddle around a bit but it is staying there so far. The filter is now working better and has definitely improved the water quality.
