I have Waterbox 50.3. I purchased two media baskets (clear acryllic with green shelves). The work great in both chambers of the aquarium but, due to logistics of hanging on baffles one basket faces forward and other faces rearward. the rear facing was a bit more challenging in that one has to be slow and careful to not spill water over the rear tank wall when lifting up the basket to do floors / media changes. That said, i asked In Tank if they can custom make a basket where the curved hang on was on other side, so that it could face forward so that all water drips into display and not rearward. Guess what? YES! They did and the cost was nominal. Now I am a happy happy aquarist! No hesitation when lifting basket up. THANK YOU IN TANK! Now just a die note — I did superglue the bottom two shelves as the weight of bio balls and media too often caused the shelves to pop out and then have to stick arms or tongs to retrieve what falls out. IF YOU SUPERGLUE — apply only to the lateral edges of the green shelf, NOT to the part that sticks into the openings. If you do, you may not be able to use the basket as the basket is a snug fit in the chamber and the glue overflow will stick out and block use (i learned that the hard way and had to order another basket. This was a perfect fit for my 30.2 AIO. It was so simple to remove the sock filter tabs and then slide this in the slot. It is a precise fit so the water is forced through my media. I chose to create a mechanical tower for the first chamber and am using the second chamber as my bio chamber. I replicated the set up on both sides. Now, I simply pull the entire basket out when it's time to rinse. Thank you.PrestonPerfect fit or 50.3
Nice media basket! The 50.3 required removal of the acrylic supports that hold the sock plate. It was easy to remove them with a razor blade, took about 2 minutes. I have two baskets, one for each side. I might use one for a refugium and the other for media. The bioballs that come with the Waterbox fit in the media basket with removal of one plate. I have both the original 10” version and this longer version. They are both excellent but this longer shelf allows much better placing of biomedia and much better flow. I use InTank products on all of my aquariums from my 2.9 gallon to my 35.1. In my opinion, they are game changers in terms of both stability of your tank parameters and ease of maintenance.
