Note on chamber one wall tab:  It is not necessary to cut this tab to install the water director like on previous versions (8 & 14).  inTank still recommends removing this tab as it will distribute water more evenly across the water director.  Using a razor blade along with a pliers or a rotary tool make quick work of it.  A clean straight cut is not needed.

    No Biocube Should Go Without

    Added this to my biocube after having it offline for a couple years and wow. Compared to the stock basket it is night and day and I cannot see running a biocube without one of these. Would consider this a necessity for anyone looking to get a Biocube. Shipping was also great! I was a little hesitant at first but I ordered on Monday and received Thursday.

    inTank - Company and Ordering

    I am very happy to have discovered inTank. I have nothing but good things to say. For years, those of us who keep nano aquariums have needed a niche vendor like this . InTank fills the void and then some. While doing a complete reworking of my large FOWLR tank, I transferred my fish to the Coralife. As is, it does not offer stellar filtration and the return pump is lacking in power. I added a Sicce pump and bought the inTank Media Basket, filter floss, and a couple of chemicals. Voila, within 12 hours, the water was clearer and tested better than ever before - night and day. I did need a couple of questions answered, and inTank's response to my email took only a few minutes. The media basket does all that is advertised, and the quality is unsurpassed. It occupies the second chamber of the BioCube and is very easy to access for replacement of media. Perhaps the best part of the experience was that, included with my order, were a couple of Swedish Fish. If not experienced with this decadent delicacy, ask your kids. The only downside is for me. I see myself making many more future "donations" to inTank. Live long and prosper.

    Much better then the basket that comes with the setup. Much easier to remove and replace when doing the cleaning.

    Media Basket for 16 gal biocube

    What an ingenious replacement. The original basket was so full of holes I have no idea how the water actually passed through any media. With the InTank basket, the water is guided through each chamber forcing it to pass through each section. Coupled with the water director it also stopped the noisy leaky waterfall sound in my tank. Quiet tank, happy fish and happy owner! Thank you InTank!

    One amazing product!

    I got my 16g Biocube recently and decided to pull the trigger on this media basket and it is 100 times better than the one the Biocube comes with. Super easy to install and maintain and it looks awesome thru the back window of the tank. More than satisfied with this product.

    16 Gallon BioCube Filter

    This product is well built and sturdy. Easy to install. I feel better know that the water filters through all the media instead of the stock filter media basket. I have noticed that the water is more clear and less debris floating around.

    Excellent product

    This is an excellent addition to any biocube. It really helps keep everything contained in chamber two. You can even make a tiny refugium with it. One criticism is that it can become very difficult to grab and lift out of the chamber. A small handle would be a welcome enhancement.

    Awesome media basket for the Buocube 16. Super easy to change filter floss and other media. Also diverts water through the media instead of around so water has been much clearer with less debris after beginning to use the basket.

    High-quality product

    This product is so much better than the flimsy media basket that was in the stock Biocube. It is extremely well made, and it feels really solid and stable compared to the stock basket. And I love how it completely closes via the sliding back panel, ensuring that the water must travel through the filter media.
